The Curious Case of... Aging?
I went to see "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" today and it was a very interesting movie indeed. Aside from the fact that Brad Pitt could become more gorgeous as the movie went on was one thing. The theme behind the movie was even moreso astounding. To me, this movie is very much like Forrest Gump, but with the main character aging backwards. There's always been the idea that as people age, the more they become like children. I guess this movie illustrated this fact the most precisely. It also illustrates the idea that age is just a number, and that you still have time to accomplish whatever dreams you have, no matter what age you're at. It just all depends on where you decide to take your life... at first I couldn't grasp my mind around how this movie would work and the ramifications of aging backwards. You see those around you pass away, and your life is never on par with those around you. Needless to say, I really enjoyed this movie (certainly more like 7 Pounds... eck). It makes you stop to think twice about what "aging" really means and whether you really do have second chances in life if you could go back and reverse time.

Well, at least you won't grow old of traveling. Make sure you keep writing when you go to Africa!
