For the past 5 days I think I was literally in a piece of paradise. Boracay was nothing like i had ever experienced before and it was a splurge decision to go, but was i ever glad that i decided to go against my planning mentality and just do it. It was 3 km of blue water and white white sand... it was very commercialized but the section of the beach where we were staying was pretty deserted. It was the first time i ran down the beach (and as a result i got a hell of a tan), but all in all it was fantastic. Although i wish Thailand worked out, Boracay was an amazing 2nd choice. It also gave me the time to reflect on this exchange experience. I think i'm going to miss this lifestyle more than i originally thought. Going back home seems so unsettling yet calming at the same time. I do miss everyone back home and Canada... but there's so many things i'm going to miss here. I mean how often do you just take off to the tropics of the Philippines for the weekend?

And then... you'll never want to travel the same ever again. Ever. Again.
And I mean like we all used to when we were younger traveling with parents...
