I went hiking today to beautiful K-country. I think it's been 10+ years since I've been there. The popular attractions in Calgary are usually Banff or Lake Louise (at least for Asians) so K-country is often overlooked. It's a shame because you miss such amazing jewels of the Rockies. We often take the mountains for granted, and this is especially the case. Look at the amazing scenery we have right in our own backyard! How many other places in the world can we see this crisp scenery and have so much land to explore? It makes me wonder how many other things I will miss about home... we'll have to see. In some ways I feel like I have too many expectations for this trip... and that it'll change everything. Sounds stupid eh? I know to take it a day at a time, but I'm anxious to see how things will be a few months from now.
P.S. NEVER hike with sandals... it's a TERRIBLE idea.
